Our expertise in market analysis
In view of volatile CO2 prices, changing regulatory frameworks (RED III, Delegated Acts, BImSchV, etc.), and strong interdependencies between fuels and the transformation of gas infrastructure, it is not sufficient to consider individual energy sources in isolation. We offer an analysis of green gases and fuels up to 2060 in a consistent overall market context. For price forecasting, we model commodity prices as well as grid fees, levies, and surcharges for energy sources, thereby enabling robust decision-making in a challenging environment.
We cover the entire spectrum of green gases and fuels:
Biomethane: Differentiated analysis according to substrate mix in accordance with EEG and RED II/III:
- Residual and waste materials
- Renewable raw materials
- Farm manure
Biomass: Differentiated analysis based on biomass quality, moisture content, and form:
- Waste wood (A1–A4)
- Forest residue wood
- Industrial residue wood
- Landscape maintenance wood
Hydrogen (H2):
- Low-carbon hydrogen: Blue H2, taking into account CCUS costs and natural gas price forecasts, as well as electrolytic low-carbon hydrogen.
- Renewable hydrogen (RFNBO): Both domestically produced and imported via pipeline or ship.
Hydrogen derivatives:
- Ammonia
- E-methanol
- E-fuels
- E-methane
